Iranian Mahan Ensemble to Perform at Istanbul Festival
The Iranian choral music group, Mahan Ensemble, has been selected to perform at Korofest Music Festival in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
(PressTV) - Many music artists will flock to the annual festival where the renowned choirs and choral conductors from all over the world are to be gathered.
Iranian choir group is slated to present several programs including Iranian and international pieces, said the ensemble leader Nima Fatehi.
Performing of some selected poems of ancient Iranian poet Khayyam will be among the ensemble’s Iranian program section while the group is scheduled to stage several remarkable pieces of European Romantic era.
Korofest is a customized choir festival. The event is a platform to share everything about the choral world.
The festival is programmed to be held in Bogazici University from September 2 through 7, 2014.
Turkey has recently hosted another Iran’s music group Avaz Music Ensemble that presented its programs during concert tour in Turkish several cities.
Composed of Iranian and Turkish musicians and music players, the ensemble also performed its programs at the Turkish nationwide TV channel Hayat TV.
